Bathroom Remodels

Bathroom Remodel (partial DIY) - Merriam, KS

Before & After

Below is one of two bathrooms Renovations, Etc., remodeled for a homeowner in Merriam, Kansas.

Here, we stripped the room down to the studs and installed new sheetrock, floor tile, shower wall tile, shower valve, glass block window, vanity and toilet. We did the painting, but the homeowner chose to save money by taking care of the accessories, such as mirror, towel bars, switch covers, etc.

Before & After

Pictured below are the BEFORE and AFTER photos of a bathroom remodel that Renovations, Etc., LLC, did for homeowners in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.

There are two vanities—one for the wife and one for the husband. We replaced their out-of-date shower with a new walk-in shower; their built-in tub with a modern, freestanding tub; the lower tiled wall around the tub with a vertical shiplap wainscoting. On the floors, we removed the carpet and replaced it with tile.

They got a trendy, space-saving barn door between the master bath and bedroom so they would no longer need to contend with the standard-type door swinging into the bathroom.

Remodeled Bathroom - Lee's Summit, MO

Below is a bathroom remodel that Renovations, Etc., LLC, did for a homeowner in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. The large two-sink vanity includes stylish, functional lighting. The mirrors and sinks, as well as accent lighting, provide a warm, relaxing environment while bathing in the whirlpool tub. The vanity also includes a makeup area at chair height for the lady of the house to put on her makeup and do her hair while comfortably seated.

We removed the existing fiberglass shower to better utilize the square footage of the room and were able to nearly double the size of the shower. The shower features a custom flat-pebble tile base, seat, and tiled walls with recessed shelves. There is also a hand-held shower wand in addition to the wall-mounted shower head. The clear glass shower walls give the room an open, airy feel.

The new ceramic tile floor, light fixtures, mirrors, quartz countertops and above-counter storage cabinets complete the classy and stylish, yet functional, feel of the room.

Kitchen Remodels

Outdoor Living Additions

From Garage to Man Cave

Homeowners in Kansas City, Kansas, wanted to convert their basic two-car garage with its unfinished sheetrock walls and cement floor to a usable living space.

Renovations, Etc., fulfilled their desire for what they called their “Man Cave addition” by reconfiguring the space, tiling the floor, creating a bar area, installing doors, painting walls and adding attractive lighting. The furnace and hot water heater are now located behind the two doors by the bar area. We also replaced the large garage doors with windows and French doors.

The couple took advantage of the Covid-19 lockdown time to decorate their new space.

Structural Changes

We do a lot of jobs that require structural changes to the home.

For example, a homeowner in Grain Valley, Missouri, wanted to open up the main living area of the house. Essentially, the front entry, dining room, living room and part of the kitchen needed to have load-bearing walls removed to make this possible. After we took down the existing walls, we installed a steel beam and a Microllam® LVL beam for support in place of the walls that were removed.

The photo below shows the new steel beam after the load-bearing walls were removed.
